1. How and when was the idea of 'Atlantic Popes' born?
I m working with Max since 11 years now. When I met him first at the atlantic coast in southwest of France, we just had fun making music...working on his songs...and talking about the world in general. In 2000 we finally decided to release an Album cause we were still very convinced about the songs and our work.
2. How did you come up with the project's name (Atlantic Popes)?
Atlantic stands for freedom and energy. And Popes has a lot of contradictionary meanings....it s not that easy to explain ...we like the idea that everybody is a pope.. and thats for sure very different from what THE pope thinks....well we have quiet different opinions about life in general. And it contains the word POP.
And that is what our music is about.
3. Who is the author of all the wonderful graphics presented on www.atlanticpopes.de?
Max had all the basic ideas and designed the page with technical help from friends.
4. How did you meet Max Holler? Where there any other musicians which you wanted to work with?
Like I said, we met at the atlantic coast, taking long walks, and we found out that we  would fit together perfectly, not that we had the same opinions about everything.   And although we had  very different experiences, we felt a lot respect and understanding for each other.
Yes, I worked with others as well, but for me it? s very important to have something like a friendship with the ones I work with. That means more to me than a good song.
5. How did you come up with the idea of cooperating with him?
I heard his songs and  I liked them from the first moment on. And I was impressed by his amazing voice....very deep and dark and ....erotic.
6. For how long have you worked on the whole project?
Hard to say...well I think we worked 3-4 weeks basically every year, sometimes more sometimes less. Max lives in France mostly, so we couldn? t see each other that much, but I always like to go there and work and talk with him.
Sometimes we also work at my place....but there is no beach. :-(
7. Is there a big promotional company for the album?
NO, this is a completly independent production, no record company or label involved, we are doing everything on our own. We believe in the internet community and the quality of our website. Our main aim is to promote the webadress www.atlanticpopes.de . We are working on the website, and we see it as the nucleus of  our project.
8. Are you satisfied with the sales results so far?
Yes we are happy, there is a lot of interest, and people obviosly like it a lot! It s actually amazing , because AtlanticPopes is a brandnew thing. :-)))
9. Are you totally satisfied with the 'Atlantic Popes' album - or is there this feeling that something could still be improved?
You never reach the limit, where you think that there would be nothing to improve.
But I am astonished every time I hear it, how much I love it. It s for sure my best production so far.
10. Are you going to continue working on the 'Atlantic Popes' project and release more albums?
Yes, there will be more....be surprised!
11. Do you think your new band will have big hits and become famous in the whole world?
Well, to be honest, I m not thinking in those terms. We will be happy about every one who will visit the site, who listens to our music, and about every single person who likes it, what we are doing. But we would have nothing against having a big hit.
I could imagine "World" being a No. 1 hit ...   ;-)  or maybe "That s all"....I don t know.
12. Can we hope that you will participate in the creation of the next AV album?
Yeah, sure.
13. Is 'Atlantic Popes' just a studio/internet project or something more? Do you have  any plans about promoting your album with tours, videos?
As you might know, I don? t like touring...not really....but a video is probably a good idea.....shown on the website...hihi..
14. Were the songs all written at the same time? I guess some of them have been previously released at the Dreamscapes anthology (or I might be mistaken)?
No the songs were written over a very long period of time. And you are right, " That s  all" has been released as an instrumental demo-version on Dreamscapes.
15. Did any other musicians take part in this project beside you & mr. Holler?
Yes, there were studiomusicians involved in a few tracks....even Marian did some backingvocals on "Games".....but in general this is a computer/synthesizer/ vocal -production....by Max and me.
16. Do you have any personal feelings to any of these songs - in another way: are any of these songs closely connected with your personal feelings - or - do you like any of them better than others? If yes, then - why?
My favourites are "Ice", "Skin", "World" and "That s all". Those songs have this certain erotic touch that I really like. And "That s all" says a lot about me  ;-)
17. Do you have any plans of taking part in/creating any other projects with other musicians?
No, not at the moment.
18. What kind of music do you personally more interested in by that time?
I love Enya, Moby and still and again A-ha
19. What is your idea of success?
Being nice and trying to make me and other people happy.
20. Talking about success & achievements - do you feel like you have reached something you wanted to reach in your childhood/youth?
Yes, I know how to operate a synthesizer.....  ;-)
