LES FOUS DES ALPES
(The fools of Alps)

Brief segment written by some italian fans joying the unique and only concert in Switzerland on 1^st August in Neuchatel at LA VUE DES ALPES.
 

Introduction:
Neuchatel's concert was not important for us. It was VERY important not only as new occasion to meet Alphaville. The Neuchatel's concert was very important because we were 16 italian fans, we were happy and we were all together.

16 guys, who from behind, had nothing to do from each other, but who were in perfect harmony and were totally happy to spend a week-end pushed in the same hotel room - happy cause they were pushed in that room. But let's come to the report, or better to say, let's come to the reports, this time not enough details about the event, just (if just is enough!) the impressions of some lucky fellows at La Vue des Alpes!

…and as a matter of fact we left Tuscany at 8 o'clock with "only" 30 minutes of delay and well organized: fins, rubber rings, field-glasses…or was everything the equipment for drying to the sea? Anyway, we kept all the promises, at least until we reached the border.
Unfortunately Paolo (our honey fellow!) is bad habit to press too much the accelerator of his car. In spite of this, we were quite able to not loose each other during the trip until we reached Neuchatel!
So we realized that Paolo's car (identified as "W" because it is a Volkswagen car) was disappeared at the horizon.
Although the concert started only 3 hours after, we started loosing our self-assurance and despite our acknowledge of the language was supported by Michele well spoken French spoken, we were turning around and around seeing always the same watch's shop!
We assure you that we arrived as early than we expected to the hotel (the only one in that place up to 1300 meters!) which has the same name of the locality: La Vue des Alpes!
In open order, we have been assailed by (who already were in the hotel): BERTAGGIA+FLAG+SANDAL (N.B.: she was wearing typical summer shoes during a quite winter day!), saying:"your signature, your signature!".
PELUSO: our review-writer and his sister and unfortunately his car was full, otherwise he could be able to carry other guys with him!
ANARCO-CROTTI: that it: two frenzy sisters attacking everything and everyone new and unusual.
SUSANNA: (Bertaggia's cousin), a fan not exceesing too much in entusiasm (lucky her!).
GIADA: already get used to AV performarces (could we get used to them?).
LORENZO FANALI and SERGIO FRATINI: two new interesting guys…we look forward to meet you to another concert!
Not forgetting to mention our dear travelling companions: DIANA, who after years of hard waiting had finally let her dream come true, than MICHELE, PAOLO - our spiritual guide (unfortunately only spiritual) and last but not least MONTRUCCHIO, who between a book and another one, is so kind to be here!
Obviously we would pay the attention to everything happened at the Switzerland customs (checking our car from the top to our pants!) and many other anecdotes, that let this trip a pleasant delirium. But let's go on exactly to the reason of our travel: the performance of a band, who we are following during all our youth till the maturity (maturity?).
It's no use to say that the concert was like a bomb, and following meeting Marian, Bernhard and the band, we have met such great people. Our personal suggestion to everyone who has not already joined an AV concert is the one to do it soonest…and who were with us do know it very well what we are talking about!

• LOCATION: cheerful, alpine, swiss place. La Vue del Alpes must be a breathtaking resort for healthy excursion (in June) and good performing skiing (in December). When we arrived there, (01.08.1998) it was a frozen mountain shrouded in mist. Revelation: God is a gardener who made fun of men, directing a big garden-sprinkler to them…
• K.P.: Viva, viva, to the unique, with no shadow of doubt, manager of AV! With his coming-back, concerts have started again and we can hope for a party, too. K.P. gave us supports before the concert and we thank him so much!
• SWISS: did you happen to fight to see AV live? Didn't you? It happened to us and everything in Switzerland. In a quite, peaceful, precise Switzerland: one hour queue, funnel entrance, shoving through the crowd up to the stairs, down to the tiers, for the first time it was really hard to reach the first rows!
• CONCERT: nothing news but repeated one million times, expect than one thing: Marian's power. We have never seen him so happy, positive, involving. Must be remarked Michele Launaro expression from the beginning of the concert: enchanted eye, open mouth, no-moving body, the ecstasy portrait. Or the mystic experience.
• BACKSTAGE: or better to say a party between AV and italian fans. Among foods, language problems, photographs, wine (Marian appreciated the italian wine very much!) we had a lot of fun! And now we want another party!
• GETTING LOST: Well, getting lost was a repeated event of our week-end: Antonio's car in motorway, Lorenzo's car during the night in Neuchatel and most of all Crotti sisters: Bertaggia spent most of her time running after Novella and Francesca everywhere…
• FAREWELLS: they have been really heartrending. First our good-bye with AV and then among us. When Dianca started bursting into tears, everyone were contributing keeping the umid temperature of that place!
• TO FINISH: I wanna thanks everyone there cause i spent two marvellous days and in particular i wanna send a special big thank to Bertaggia Alex, as with her and thanks to her i have spent the greatest moments of my life: I love you!
