After our return from
the concert in Burg we were so exciting and wished to see AV once more
live. we called the city-information of Haldensleben to get all necessary
informations: Place, start, price...
What a surprice: The
concert is a part of a party of the town and there's only a fee of 5 DM
to join everything. That was just right for our rare housekeeping money.
It was again open air
and according to the city information AV would play at 8 p.m.
We started our journey
and weared the new "P.o.E."-T-Shirts we bought in Burg. We already knew
the way till Burg. Then we found small streets with cobblestones and without
reinforcement on the right and the left. We thought that's the end of the
world. We reached Haldensleben at 6 p.m. and found the stage... I also
listened already well known AV-tones. I was afraid, the concert had already
started. But than we noticed it was "only" the soundcheck and I went calm
again. We searched again something for dinner. Suddenly a blond girl asked
us, where we bought our t-shirts. We became familiar and told her about
the concert in Burg. We searched together the Merchandising for sale and
she bought also such a shirt. Monika (that's her name) was already some
hours in the town - and had a room in a pension only some meters away.
She told us that the concert will start only at half past 10 p.m. Before
was Bad Boys Blue as support act announced.
Unfortunately it started
to rain. Uwe went to our car in order to fetchour umbrella. He returned
together with Matthias. He also spoke to Uwe because of the t-shirt. He
was very sad. He also got the information the concert would start at 8
p.m. His train back home left already at 11 p.m. So it seemed he wouldn't
join the concert. Monika offered to share the room with him. That's real
Fan solidarity! The concert was saved!
During the Bad Boys
Blue-Show we had smalltalk. There were many people, too many for the small
place And there were many drunks. Short before AV came on the stage we
fight for some places near to the stage. Finally we were in the 4th or
5th row. Fortunately I had my chair along with me. So I could stand on
it and see everything. This time my chair was really necessary.
The show was quite the
same as in Burg, but better. Marian had more contact to the audience, we
think.
Later we got to know
there were some technichal problems in Burg. That's why they couldn't play
so free. But we had never noticed that alot and sang every song together
with Marian. The ballads "Feather and Tar" and "FY" created again the special
atmosphere. mariyn is so good on stage, he's able to convey so much just
with his charisma.
The top highlight was
the premiere of the newest song (just 2 days old) and again such a great
ballad.
As the concert was over
we watched in which direction the band left. we had the plan to speak with
them and to tell them how great the show was.
And we were lucky. They
left to the pension in which Monika had also her room. So it was very easy
to enter.
Our hearts beat faster
as Marian recogniced us. It was the best moment as he said "I've seen you
in teh audience".
He answered paintently
all our questions. We also spoke about a little incidient. Two drunk men
bumped into the first rows. 2 men from the security pull out them instantaneously
of the audience. Marian told us, he thought in that moment about finish
the show.
Before the band left
Marian organized some merchandising for us. We stay together for a while
(happy and a bit euphoric) and spoke a lot about the concert and AV in
general.
Uwe and me arrived in
Walsleben at daybreak. We fell into bed shattered but very satisfied.
