was at the concert! Well, this Marian Gold got a little strong. I thought
he was a little slimmer, but he looks like some kinda body builder. Well,
not that much, but he's a little stubby. Well, at least that was my impression.
There were problems with the drum, that TV like electronic drum (if that
was it) kept falling down. Anyway, it was good. There were 5 of them. I
don't know which guy was the extra member. Gold took pictures of the group
and of the audience and then threw the camera into the crowd. It hit a
guy on the forehead just 3 meters from us. He looked a little hurt afterwards.
We were lucky to be standing in the front. Marian introduced the classic
songs by saying "And now for something completely different" and laughed
at this. That's when they played The Victory of Love and the others. He
introduced Forever Young by saying now comes something you never heard,
hope you like it. Of course we, the audience sang it, especially the
refrain. When they played Flame the audience lighted lighters. The whole
thing was 1 hour and 40 minutes long. By the way, is there a long version
for Forever Young, but featuring the same instruments and sound, you know,
something which could be called the Maxi Version or The Long Version, but
not sounding ifferently only playing the refrain more times and stuff
if you know what I mean.
Stephen Well, guys and girls,
it's november 14, the day after Alphaville played in Budapest. Now
let me give you a biased opinion of the show: AMAZING! It's was very, very
good. I went with some americans who never heard of Alphaville,
and even they agreed that the show was awsome. The band went
on stage around 8.40 (they supposed to start at 8) and played until
10. The first part of the concert was 99% new stuff (from Salvation),
but later on they played some of the old stuff too, like Sounds like
a melody, Big in Japan, Forever Young and Jerusalem.

So, it happenned. I saw AV live in Budapest. It was very hard to wait 40 inutes for the begining (they were late 40 minutes), but I forgot it when the show began. In general it was a good show. Marian was smiling during the whole show -except the first song. It was obvious that he enjoyed what he did. The other thing I liked the most in the concert was the drummer - he also did a great show with some strange instruments, and he enjoyed everything, too. But, some things made me a little bit dissappointed: they didn't play any song from 4 albums! (BB, Prostitue, SLC, United) And the concert was only 1 hour 20 minutes, although I excepted minimum 2 hours, but rather 2.5 hours. But now I don't mind it, because after the concert I HAD THE CHANCE TO SPEAK WITH THE BOYS! It happenned this way: I saw that people (3-4 at a time) could enter behind the stage to have their CDs/LPs/MCs signed. But, after 3-4 tours it finished - a lady (I don't know who her was) collected the covers and brought them in, and brought them out signed. I became sad, but tried to speak to the lady: "Excuse me, could I speak with the boys? I'm a big fan of them!" The answer was: "Sorry, but you can't." Then I waited for her again, and started to tell her what to tell to the boys: "Please tell them that it was too short, and we missed the songs from BB, Prostie, etc..., ...., bla-bla". That time only a little group was waiting, so she said: "-OK, I see that you are a really big fan. You will be the last, and you can enter. Please come with me!" Then I had a great half an hour with the band. Mainly I spoke with Marian, and he was very natural, friendly, and was in a good mood. Inside I was not the only one fan, the leaders of the hungarian "Blue Sunshine" fan club were already in. At the end of our talking, a hungarian guy made a group picture from us. I hardly can wait to write to him and ask for a picture! Robert ps. During the concert Marian took 2-3 pictures of everyone in the band, of himself, then finally of the audience. Then he put the camera down near the drums. 5 minutes later he THREW OUT THE CAMERA TO THE UDIENCE. AND IT LANDED ON THE HEAD OF THE PERSON STANDING IN RONT OF ME! Unfortunatelty he catched the camera... I'm still very angry for myself, how I could not catch the camera, although I thought that he was to thow that out...
